The Los Angeles Dodgers appear to have found Hanley Ramirez’s replacement.
The Dodgers have acquired shortstop Jimmy Rollins in a trade with the Philadelphia Phillies, a source told CSNPhilly.com’s Jim Salisbury. Rollins has spent his entire 15-year career with Philadelphia to this point.
Rollins needed to waive his 10-and-5 rights to accept a trade to Los Angeles. The 36-year-old reportedly was willing to do so, ending a successful tenure with the Phillies in which he earned three National League All-Star selections, four Gold Gloves and an NL MVP award (2007).
Rollins, who turned 36 in November, hit .243 with 17 homers, 55 RBIs, 28 stolen bases and a .323 on-base percentage in 138 games in 2014.
