Liverpool needed to be on itsĀ A-game if it wanted to take down Manchester United.
Apparently Christian Benteke received the memo.
The Reds trailed by two goals late in Saturday’s game at Old Trafford, but the 24-year-old striker put Liverpool on the board in spectacular fashion in the 84th minute.

Benteke’s brilliant bicycle-kick finish — his second goal in LFC’s young season — put the Reds within striking distance as time wound down.
Unfortunately for Liverpool, the Red Devils had an immediate answer. Anthony Martial scored two minutes later on an impressive effort of his own to put the game out of reach and give Manchester United a 3-1 win.
