Can Patriots Find Next Star At 2025 Senior Bowl?

Should New England select an edge with their first pick?

The New England Patriots, who have the fourth overall pick in the NFL Draft, need several positions on offense and defense.

On NESN’s “Boston Has Entered The Chat,” co-hosts George Balekji and Travis Thomas discussed the Patriots’ top needs and which player they should select in the first round.

“Their top two needs are tackle and wide receiver, and after that, it’s edge,” Balekji said. “Abdul Carter is the second-best prospect in this draft, and their need at edge is so big, and he’s such a can’t-miss prospect that they got to take him at four. At most, I see them trading back to six or seven. Then there could be a Shemar Stewart from A&M, who is just dazzling scouts out there in Mobile, Alabama.”

You can listen to more of Balekji and Thomas’ conversation, including their views on this year’s quarterback draft class, on “Boston Has Entered The Chat” on YouTube or Spotify.
