Roki Sasaki emerged as the top talent in the international market this offseason across MLB. Now, the talented starting pitcher made his choice on which team he’ll join in his move to America.

Sasaki announced on Instagram Friday that he will indeed sign with the defending World Series champion Los Angeles Dodgers. He joins fellow Japanese stars Shohei Ohtani and Yoshinobu Yamamoto in the stacked Dodgers rotation that intends to repeat as world champions in 2025.

Sasaki’s camp eliminated teams in recent days, while other pitching-interested teams, such as the Boston Red Sox did not receive a meeting with the 23-year-old.

Sasaki never posted an ERA higher than 2.35 during his four seasons in NPB and made a name for himself for his outings with the winning club of the 2023 World Baseball Classic to defeat Team USA in the finals.

The Red Sox already made impactful additions to their starting pitching rotation earlier in the offseason, with Garrett Crochet and Walker Buehler coming to Boston.
