Tom Brady is a divisive figure, but we didn’t know he was this divisive.
Fox Sports’ Jordan Schultz and NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport allegedly engaged in a verbal altercation on Wednesday afternoon at the Starbucks at the JW Marriott in Indianapolis, as shared by Pro Football Talk’s Mike Florio.
Why?
Schultz reported that Brady hosted Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford at his estate in Montana, supposedly in a recruitment effort as the star quarterback was permitted to seek a trade. Rapoport disputed that report, which led to the alleged incident.
Yes, this is all real.

Schultz also happens to be the son of former Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz, which makes this whole thing that much funnier.
Florio released paraphrased quotes, which are also hilarious.
“If this continues we’re going to have a (expletive) problem,” Schultz said, though he later refuted using profanity.
Rapoport responded by asking him to step back.

NFL Security reportedly has taken statements from multiple witnesses, which means this could actually lead to something down the road. The NFL surely won’t want to make too much of the situation, though, specifically because it stems back to a report regarding its golden boy.
