The Bruins made a roster move before they head out to start a five-game road trip.
General manager Don Sweeney announced in a press release Tuesday that Boston recalled forward Fabian Lysell and defenseman Michael Callahan from Providence on an emergency basis.
The moves came after the B’s suffered their third straight loss after falling to the Buffalo Sabres at TD Garden on Monday. Lysell and Callahan practiced at Warrior Ice Arena on Tuesday.
Lysell scored 11 goals and recorded 23 assists for 34 points in 51 games with Providence this season. The 22-year-old skated one game for the Bruins when he made his NHL debut on Dec. 28 against the Columbus Blue Jackets.
Callahan recorded one goal and seven assists for eight points in 43 games with Providence this season. The 25-year-old made his NHL debut on Jan. 14 against the Tampa Bay Lightning. He played in 11 games with Boston before he was sent back down to the AHL.

The Bruins begin their five-game road trip with a matchup against the Vegas Golden Knights at T-Mobile Arena on Thursday.
