Robyn Glaser once walked down the Gillette Stadium hallway asking for a hammer, but the former Patriots executive apparently yielded an axe in 2024.
Glaser, who reportedly resigned as New England’s executive vice president of football business this offseason, was mentioned in a report by the Boston Herald’s Andrew Callahan and Doug Kyed published Sunday.
The Herald indicated Glaser was responsible for executing financial constraints after Robert Kraft and company moved on from Bill Belichick.

“Multiple sources told the Herald that Glaser tried to cut costs around the organization to ensure they were spending more effectively,” the Herald wrote.
However, Glaser didn’t always understand how said constraints would impact the franchise.

“A team source believed Glaser tried to make changes within the organization without a full understanding of what processes she was changing,” the Herald wrote. “When asked for an example, the source said that Glaser’s approach was to simply do the opposite of what Bill Belichick had done in several areas.”
When the Patriots hired Mike Vrabel this offseason, it was determined the new regime and Glaser wouldn’t mix. The Herald wrote a “coach-centric power structure” like under Belichick has returned.
MassLive’s Karen Guregian, Mark Daniels and Chris Mason also offered intel on Glaser last week. MassLive reported people within the Patriots organization were wary of Glaser due to her “thirst for power.”
“At least one respected member of the organization was alarmed by how she conducted her business,” MassLive wrote.

Glaser, a controversial figure in the organization who took public bullets for Patriots ownership, won’t be a problem as the organization enters a new era under Vrabel.
